Fall Out Boy America's Suiteheart Music Video Review

America's Suitehearts is a risky, art based music video. I use the term risky mostly because it is hard to pull these types of videos off without looking under budgeted. We have seen videos like this in the past but none of them took it this far. 98% of the video is done in that gregarious art style resembling circus caricatures. This could seem like a bad choice at first, but the art style does grow on you halfway through the video. There are some huge underlying problems though, such as the repetitive video effect that flutters white and black above the film. Also, the band's costumes are cringe worthy, making you sincerely feel bad for the them. Another shortcoming was the meaning behind the video. It brushes vaguely upon trite media subjects and celebrities which is becoming far too overused and people should realize a dead horse will never ride again.

America's Suitehearts comes together in the end and makes for a good music video. This Fall Out Boy video stands out with it's cartoon palette and original style. Of course, it can be stated that it should look better, but these videos never look good to begin with so it already sets the bar. I just hope that they don't get caught up in anymore media redundancy, especially since their last video "I Don't Care" shared a similar topic.
