Katy Perry Hot and Cold Music Video Review

Katy Perry's music video "Hot and Cold" is a much more welcomed experience over her last approach with "I Kissed a Girl." This video felt like it reflected her personality much better and doesn't force any outrageous concepts. She is being held up at the alter by a man who can't decide whether to say "I do." What ensues after that make little sense, but does a good job of keeping your eyeballs glued to the screen. Everything in the video seems intentionally corny which fits well except overall it could be better with a bigger budget. Katy's outfits are all horrible, but once again, they seem intentional and complement the humor of the video. One thing that caught me off guard was how well the ending dance sequence was done. The break dancing and simple moves done by Katy were a great addition. Other than that, it is a pretty straight forward attempt to the shove a bunch of humorous random ideas in to a music video.
