As they did with their music, Panic At The Disco has drastically altered their music video style. This new PATD is showing with their new album that they have unfortunately outgrown their cheap gimmicks of dancing mimes and cabera clubs and have refined themselves as asinine mature musicians.
This new video, Northern Downpour, exhibits just how lame this new found maturity can be. PATD videos have never been extraordinary, but their old videos were a hell of a lot more entertaining.
I semi-enjoyed this video, when I didn't compare it to their old ones. It was fairly well done, but the boring and melancholic feeling of the video won out in this instance. I will now sit in my corner and just wait for the day PATD will revert back to their old gimmicks and find their inner, less mature child. Hey, if Robin Williams can do it in Hook, why can't Panic At The Disco?
